Glitter Princess is the brainchild of Lizzie Brown. Lizzie had the idea of starting a company specialising in girly, fancy dress clothes and accessories after the birth of her own ‘little princess’, Lily.
‘I had a full time job finding the prettiest, frilliest, pinkest outfits for her to wear and if the outfit didn’t have at least one of these criteria it wouldn’t be worn without a fight!’ explains Lizzie.
Lizzie took the time to search for outfits and accessories that were ‘just‘a little bit different to the rest’ and when friends and family started to ask where she’d bought the outfits for Lily, Lizzie realised that there was a marketing opportunity here and decided to set up Glitter Princess.
Working on the assumption that she couldn’t be the only parent whose little girl was a princess at heart Lizzie’s aim was to provide stunning fancy dress clothes and cute accessories at prices parents did not have to be royalty to enjoy.

The business was originally run mainly on line through her website www.glitter-princess.co.uk combined with a mobile shop, evening parties and coffee mornings with treats and discounts for the host. Lizzie then expanded her business by recruiting ‘Glitter Princess traders’.
Encouraged by the success of her business and responding to demand for her products, Lizzie has now opened a Glitter Princess shop in Hope Square. Congratulations Lizzie! We are sure that your new venture will be an equally resounding success.
