Owned and run by Angie and Steve Hallam with the help of their daughter Lindsey and part-time helper Chris, Funny Business specialises in the hire and sale of fancy dress costumes, accessories, jokes, naughty but fun hen and stag novelties as well as Helium Balloons for every occasion. Open virtually 7 days a week, a visit to this Tardis like shop is a fun filled adventure combined with a warm welcome.
Angie always had a yearning to live by the sea and her first glimpse of Weymouth Bay from Osmington Hill 10 years ago confirmed that this was where she wanted to be. In opening the shop two and half years ago, she and Steve have combined their love of jokes with their dream of owning their own business, enjoying meeting, greeting and serving all fun lovers.
Funny Business houses all sorts of wonderful items to inspire the imagination from outrageous to demure, funny to scary; everything under one roof to create the perfect outfit for any fancy dress party or function.
They also have a cartoonist for commissioned caricatures and drawings.
Hours of business will be extended during the run up to Christmas to accommodate demand for Weymouth Extravaganza on New Year’s Eve.
